Austin Community College (ACC) is a multi-campus community college district with 11 campuses serving approximately 70,000 students annually (42,000 credit students). ACC is an Achieving the Dream – Leader College status higher education institution.
Vice Chancellor – Student Affairs & Enrollment Management 2020 – Present
Reporting directly to the Provost/Executive Vice Chancellor. Oversee the college’s district-wide student affairs and enrollment management portfolio which includes: student support services/advising/coaching, student accommodations, social support resources/advocacy, enrollment management/financial aid/veterans affairs, student affairs operations, help desk, and analytics teams. Position is responsible for ensuring a seamless student experience accessing college and increasing student persistence and timely completion of a degree or certificate.
Accomplishments
Associate Vice President – College and High School Relations 2015 – 2020
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Instruction. Oversee high school educational partnerships for over 8,000 high school students in dual and articulated credit (26 districts/105 high schools). Position is responsible for developing enrollment plan for high school partnerships (ISD and industry) to increase enrollment growth and program expansion, student success, and completions.

District Director of Enrollment Services & Registrar 2013 – 2014
Reporting directly to the District Dean of Student Affairs. Position served as the chief admissions, records and enrollment services officer for the district.

Accomplishments
- Development of the college’s first Strategic Enrollment Management Plan which yielded new enrollment increases of 8% in six-months with anticipated continued growth
- Increased course success rates by 12 percentage points through an embedded support system (embedded tutoring and coaching)
- Secured partnership with Michael and Susan Dell Foundation to develop the Career Scholars Scholarship Program with named partners such as National Instruments (NI), Samsung, UFCU, HEB, Continental Auto Group.
- Make It Center – Development of the ACC Make It Center which is a 10,000 square feet of career exploration through augmented reality and hands-on experiences.
- Student Care Support – Development of the college’s first center for student social service support that includes food distribution, volunteer legal support, parenting support, and other community engagement partnerships
- Austin 2030 – Appointed to serve on the leadership team for Austin 2030 to positively impact education and higher education attainment and completion.
- ACC GROW – Development of college’s internal internship program for students seeking career experience in their area of study.
- Mental Health – Partnership with The University of Texas at Austin Medical School on mental health clinic for students on ACC Eastview Campus

- Student Success of dual credit students is 86% of students (African American dual credit students perform 19 percentage points/Hispanic students perform 14 percentage points higher than traditional-aged students who identify with the same race/ethnic group)
- Co-Authored and awarded academic, workforce, and college readiness/success grants totaling over $4 million
- ACC Career Scholars Scholarship Program – Appointed to develop and implement the ACC Career Scholars Scholarship Program to increase the college-going rate, success, and completion of direct-from high school students.
- Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board – Appointed to serve on dual credit negotiated rule- making committee for the state.
- Equity and Inclusion – Appointed to serve on the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Steering Committee. Committee member (Central Texas) for My Brother’s Keeper to increase African American and Hispanic male enrollment in higher education.
- Dual Credit Innovative Collaborative – Appointed to serve on state-wide dual credit committee to evaluate dual credit across state and inform through research to support the development of consistent practices.
- Enrollment Planning – Developed enrollment plan for dual credit partnerships to create efficiencies and support growth, which include but not limited to, faculty assignments and growth, maximizing ACC facility usage, and expansion of associate degree and certificate completion programs.
- Guided Pathways – Appointed member of the Guided Pathways team for the College. Charged with alignment of high school endorsement areas to college areas of study, and program-to-program articulation agreements with university partners.
- Direct to College 70 – Appointed to work with the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce to decrease the summer melt of enrollment of high school students to college. The initiative is to ensure at least 70% of high school graduates have completed the necessary steps to enroll in college by Fall.

- Increased student degree completion through automated institutional awarding system (fall to fall 52% and 39% winter to winter)
- Developed the first college-wide comprehensive strategic recruitment plan for domestic recruitment for the Student Development Offices
- Developed district-wide Answer Center (One Stop) concept for all campuses
- Collaborated with Advancement committee to develop new brand for institution and successful implementation plan (#ThinkPCCFirst)
- Successfully off-boarded two (2) contracting colleges that received separate accreditation. On-boarded a new contracting college seeking separate accreditation. Our office provided academic, student support services, and policy support to contracting colleges
- Domestic Recruitment – Appointed to develop the first college-wide comprehensive strategic recruitment plan for domestic recruitment for the Student Development Offices that is consistent and supportive of the College President’s strategic plan (recruitment did not report to Enrollment Services/Registrar). Designed recruitment best practices training for recruiters and their Associate Deans of Student Development on each campus to ensure a more strategic, targeted focus on direct from high school population. In collaboration with central marketing, developed new brochures and designs to include all components of the four-member campuses in a way that creates a more unified brand for the one-college image.
- International Recruitment – Appointed to develop coordinated/strategic partnership with local four-year institution for International Recruitment. Re-organizing International Education/Recruitment Office at PCC to provide better operational and administrative processes and services.
- Accreditation – Successfully off-boarded two (2) contracting colleges that received separate accreditation. On-boarded a new contracting college seeking separate accreditation. Our office provided academic, student support services, and policy support to contracting colleges.
- Grants/Scholarships – Served as a member of the PCC Foundation Grants and Scholarships committee. Identified and awarded grants to faculty who developed programs that showed promise to maintain/increase access, student retention, and/or graduation. Worked with the Foundation Committee chair to revise the faculty grant application to better assist with committee assessment, awarding, and reviewing of applications and outcome reports.
- Advancement – Collaborated with Advancement committee to develop new brand for institution and successful implementation plan (#ThinkPCCFirst). Collaborated with Advancement office to increase alumni donor contributions by re-defining alumni, identify system to communicate with former students, and actively engaging current graduates.
- Partnerships with four-year universities - Lead Liaison for College on partnerships with four-year institutions to increase transfer student success and co-admissions/enrolled initiative.
- Institutional Strategic Planning -Served as a member of the district’s Steering Committee for strategic planning.
