Value Proposition
With pressures from the federal government to increase degree completion from colleges and universities, I understand that this equally means institutions will have to actively identify and increase enrollment and graduation of students. My background and success in enrollment planning and student support have positioned me well to work at every level of an institution from advisors/counselors, presidents/superintendents, to business leaders/advocates. I understand that college access and success is an interdependent process and is only successful when every entity from city, state, businesses, K-12, and higher education institutions work together to educate students and families on the importance of a college going, completion, and career-ready culture.
My knowledge and application of design thinking in the educational environment sets me apart as I can lead by coaching an institution of leaders and front-line teams to leverage its innovative spirit through a product management lens. This industry-proven process enables institutions to better align with business and industry partners to deliver products (student services, wrap-around supports, internships, scaled partnerships, etc.) in a manner that actualizes establishes key performance indicators (KPI). Through this process educators can see the impact they make on college objectives as they deliver on key results.
This approach enables me to tell the story of how my teams disrupt negative enrollment (new and continuing students) trends by focusing on the job to be done, understanding the voice of our customer (students and employees), and delivering products (our student services) that create the student performance outcomes we designed to deliver. Our products and outcomes have helped the institutions and departments I lead to gain support from executive administrators and boards of directors for programs, processes, and tools to assist with increasing student success.

Career Goals
What do you aspire to achieve? What drives you toward achieving these goals?
I have positioned myself for the road to a Presidency or Chancellorship of a higher education institution. When I began my journey in higher education, I shared that colleges and universities should replicate some business models to support efficiencies and effective delivery of student support and success. I truly believe any person can go to college. The focus should be on helping individuals identify what they love, their talents, and strengths and aligning these areas to careers and college majors that supports the student's focus. I fully invested in the believe that higher education institutions should be study-ready and own the role we play in ensuring our institutions are inclusive, are evolving, and that leaders have a change management plan in departments that are designed for continuous improvement.

Four-Generations of Educators
My drive goes back four-generations. I am a fourth-generation college graduate and a fourth-generation educator. My great-grandparents were teachers in rural Southern Arkansas. I can not imagine what it was like to educate Black people in the South. What I do know is that my great-grandparents, grandparents, and parents believed that education, especially many generations before us, was life or death. In order for Black people to rise, being educated created opportunity to live, thrive, protect, and understand their power, relevance, and importance to society.
